The MD7 500 series preamp features stepped gain with input trim for fine gain adjustments and recall-ability. Utilizes the 1122 discrete opamp and Jensen input/output transformers for a clean direct audio path. An extremely versatile SEND and RETURN could be used to enhance or add effects by putting guitar pedals in the audio signal with total control of your levels. When used without a plug in SEND, the DI input can accommodate any instrument from passive to piezo. This design does away with the old INPUT PAD (-20dB typically) so a loud signal can drive the transformer into saturation during peaks.
